School House, School House, School House ROCK!

Acoustic thunder was wrought upon the Bogani Cafe late Saturday evening! Well, not particularily, but good times were certainly had by all (the band included). The setting was pretty low key and the room was actually pretty tough. There was a lot of clutter noise and conversation going on but once we ripped through KT Tunstall's version of The Jackson 5's I Want You Back* we got everyone's attention pretty quick. I found performing music to be a lot easier than leading worship music but it's probably just a personal thing that's different with everyone.

I wish you were there.

I want to leave you all with something great tonight. So I give you one of the greatest...

*Watch this and learn. Stand and be amazed.

Awww, i miss you! i'll bet you did so good!
i find it easier and more enjoyable to sing for performance than to lead worship. When i am leading worship, i am thinking about so many other things, but when i perform, i mostly think about... nothing, except what i'm singing. So really, for me, performing is more like worship than leading worship is. Think about that. (It won't take long)
Love the new tagline about AIDS. Or maybe it's not new, but either way i like it.

Yea, it's a Sara Silverman quote. She's so innapropriately funny. And I know what you mean about performance v worship music. I can't really say that I like one over the other but suffice it to say I most certainly know which one I find more "fulfilling" both in the moment and in the long run.
